Programme Fees

For information about specific programme fees contact us.

Fees Free

If you are a New Zealand citizen or Permanent Resident and new to tertiary study then you might be eligible to receive your first year of study for free. The New Zealand government will cover the cost of tuition and mandatory fees for the first 120 credits – the equivalent of one year of full-time study. To see if you are eligible, visit their website at www.feesfree.govt.nz.

Other fees

Fees applicable to your programme such as Learner Fee Insurance, Learner ID cards and NZQA reporting are detailed on your proforma invoice. They include:

  • Learner Fee Insurance $75 - this covers the insurance to protect learner fees. The fee is based upon one stage of study.

  • Learner ID card $30 - a one off payment at beginning of study. Learners must submit a photo for a learner card to be produced.

  • NZQA Reporting Fee $10 - this covers the cost of reporting qualification to NZQA.

Please note: These fees are approximate and based upon a full-time course load for each programme of study. After you have applied and been accepted we will send you an invoice with the final cost of your tuition fees.

Fee refunds

You may request a refund of tuition fees prior to or at any time during your enrolment according to Arise Academy’s Withdrawal and Refund Policy.

Arise Academy reserves the right to withdraw a learner from study for unsatisfactory academic progress.

Safeguarding tuition fees

In the unlikely event that Arise Academy is unable to deliver the programme in which you have enrolled, Arise Academy has protected your fees with Public Trust. Fees deposited and protected by the Public Trust are held in the Common fund which has an unsecured guarantee from the New Zealand Government. The learner fee protection for Arise Academy is fully compliant with NZQA rules. Should access to your fees be necessary, you may contact Public Trust on 0800 494 733 or email feeprotect@publictrust.co.nz. This arrangement has been accepted by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority as meeting the requirements of the Education and Training Act 2020 and the Student Fee Protection Rules 2021.
